About The Position

As the General Sales Manager at Ron Marhofer Chevrolet, you will play a key role in driving our sales operations. Your main responsibilities will include overseeing vehicle sales, managing sales teams, improving customer satisfaction, and maximizing profitability. This is a leadership position that requires you to actively manage and develop sales strategies, processes, and team performance.

Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Manage all variable sales operations at Ron Marhofer Chevrolet.
  • Ensure the achievement of sales targets for new and used vehicles.
  • Oversee the optimization of profit for both new and used vehicle sales.
  • Work with the sales team to optimize new and used vehicle sales and meet defined targets.
  • Achieve market share targets for the dealership on a monthly basis.
  • Collaborate with sales staff to meet sales goals and improve gross profit.
  • Monitor and train the team to achieve outstanding customer satisfaction scores.
  • Set the target to exceed the national average by 2% each month.
  • Work with the General Manager and F&I Managers to ensure high levels of finance & insurance profitability.
  • Maintain a minimum profit per vehicle of $2,300.
  • Manage lead conversion to achieve a close ratio of at least 23% or greater for all lead sources.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve sales processes to enhance lead management and sales efficiency.
  • Lead job training for sales consultants, team leaders, and F&I managers to ensure optimum performance.
  • Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly training sessions to improve team skills, including sales techniques and customer interaction strategies.
  • Provide coaching and performance reviews for team members.
  • Use HRIS tools to track progress and support individual development.

  • Drive new and used vehicle sales, managing all trade-in opportunities and customer follow-ups.
  • Maintain regular reviews of vehicle pricing, inventory flow, and performance metrics to ensure profitability.
  • Monitor customer satisfaction scores, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as needed.
  • Develop and achieve monthly and annual objectives for dealership and OEM sales, ensuring gross profit goals are met.
  • Ensure all financial targets are reviewed and optimized, including F&I profitability and vehicle pricing strategies.
  • Regularly assess and adjust operational practices to maximize profits while maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.
