About The Position

Geisinger is seeking a General Pediatrician to join their team in Wilkes-Barre, PA. Wilkes-Barre is described as an outdoor enthusiast's paradise with kayaking, whitewater rafting, hiking, extensive hiking/biking trails, four state parks, and numerous ski areas. It also offers gaming at Mohegan Pennsylvania, minor-league Pittsburgh Penguins hockey games, Railriders baseball at PNC Field, and a vibrant arts scene with a Third Friday Artwalk and two large galleries (Marquis and Sordoni). Luzerne County is home to several major colleges and universities, including two Penn State campuses. The position involves full-time 24/7 hospitalist coverage within a large and stable call coverage group that has been together for over 10 years. This is a new position aimed at increasing patient access. Teaching opportunities are available, and the EMR system used is EPIC.
