The Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner is a licensed professional provider who functions in collaboration with an attending physician in a variety of practice settings at YNHHS. Provides exceptional direct diagnostic and therapeutic patient care to the highest standards of the organization as part of a multidisciplinary team. EEO/AA/Disability/Veteran Position Overview Advanced Practice Provider (APP) – General Orthopedics (Ambulatory & Walk-In Clinic) Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) Full-time position supporting both General Orthopedics Clinic and Orthopedic Walk-In Clinic Role Summary Join a growing General Orthopedics team in a patient-centered, ambulatory care setting Dedicated responsibilities within a high-volume Orthopedic Walk-In Clinic Opportunity to practice in a collaborative, fast-paced environment focused on high-quality musculoskeletal care Schedule & Work Environment Monday–Friday schedule No weekends No holidays No on-call responsibilities Key Responsibilities Evaluate, diagnose, and treat a wide range of general orthopedic and musculoskeletal conditions Manage patient flow and clinical decision-making in the Orthopedic Walk-In Clinic Perform in-office procedures including joint injections, splinting, casting, and wound care (training provided) Collaborate closely with orthopedic surgeons, fellow APPs, RNs, medical assistants, and multidisciplinary team members Document clinical findings, assessments, and treatment plans accurately and timely in the electronic medical record Participate in quality improvement initiatives and evidence-based care pathways Qualifications Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) New graduates are strongly encouraged to apply Interest in orthopedics, musculoskeletal medicine, or ambulatory care preferred Training & Support Comprehensive onboarding program Ongoing clinical mentorship and team-based support to ensure success in the role
