About The Position
A General Mechanic is responsible for maintaining the physical functionality and safety of Waldorf Astoria New York's equipment and machinery in the continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. What will I be doing? As a General Mechanic, you would be responsible for maintaining the physical functionality and safety of the Waldorf Astoria's equipment and machinery in the continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. Specifically, you would be responsible but not limited to performing the following tasks to the highest standards:
Responsibilities
- Maintain, monitor, repair and conduct routine preventive maintenance to ensure the safe and efficient operation of equipment and machinery
- Conduct scheduled and non-scheduled maintenance
- Respond to calls and team member work orders in a timely, friendly and efficient manner to assess and repair non-functioning machinery and/or equipment
- Record and report completed repairs and items that require further attention
