About The Position

We are seeking an experienced and hands-on General Manager to lead the Fairfield Inn Natchitoches, a Marriott select-service property in a growing and vibrant market. This role requires a strong operational leader who is passionate about guest service excellence, team development, and driving revenue performance. The ideal candidate will bring proven hotel leadership experience and the ability to deliver consistent results aligned with Marriott brand standards.   This is an on-site leadership role. The selected candidate must reside within a 20-mile radius of the hotel or be willing to relocate.

Requirements

  • Proven General Manager experience in a Marriott-branded hotel (preferred) or comparable select-service environment
  • Strong background in hotel operations leadership with a focus on guest service excellence
  • Demonstrated ability to drive revenue performance and manage KPIs
  • Solid financial acumen, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control
  • Hands-on leadership style with strong team development and accountability skills
  • Ability to work 45–55 hours per week based on operational needs
  • Primarily weekday daytime presence with flexibility for weekends, evenings, holidays, and emergency response as needed
  • Must reside within 20 miles of the hotel or be willing to relocate

Responsibilities

  • Provide hands-on leadership across all hotel operations, ensuring exceptional guest experiences and brand compliance
  • Maintain continuous QA readiness and successfully pass Marriott brand inspections
  • Drive revenue performance by managing occupancy, ADR, RevPAR, and overall market positioning
  • Oversee budgeting, labor management, expense controls, and financial reporting to achieve profitability goals
  • Lead, coach, and develop department leaders and team members, fostering accountability and engagement
  • Monitor guest satisfaction scores and online reputation; implement service recovery strategies when needed
  • Ensure operational excellence during peak occupancy, inspections, and high-demand periods
  • Maintain open and proactive communication with ownership regarding performance, forecasts, and strategic initiatives
  • Uphold all safety, compliance, and Marriott brand standards
