About The Position

North Star Pizza is an expanding franchise with 27 locations and significant growth potential, offering unlimited opportunities for professional advancement. This General Manager role involves overseeing all store operations, including equipment operation, inventory management, product preparation, order processing (telephone and in-person), and facility cleaning. The position requires strong communication skills, the ability to handle monetary transactions accurately, and the physical capability to perform various tasks such as lifting, carrying, pushing, climbing, stooping, bending, crouching, squatting, and reaching. The role also involves navigating adverse weather conditions during outside tasks and deliveries, and working in varying in-store temperatures and cramped quarters. The General Manager will also be involved in marketing and profitability aspects of the store, and is expected to direct activities, perform repetitive tasks, work alone and with others, work under stress, meet strict quality control standards, deal with people, analyze and compile data, and make judgments and decisions.

Requirements

  • Walking (for short distances for short durations; delivery personnel must travel between the store and delivery vehicle and from the delivery vehicle to the customer's location)
  • Sitting (paperwork is normally completed in an office at a desk or table)
  • Lifting (bulk product deliveries up to 50 pounds with dimensions of up to 3' x 1.5'; cases are usually lifted from floor and stacked onto shelves up to 72" high)
  • Carrying (large cans weighing 3 pounds, 7 ounces; pizza sauce weighing 30 pounds; trays of pizza dough approximately 12 pounds per tray; pizzas and beverages during delivery)
  • Pushing (to move trays which are placed on dollies, requiring a force of up to 7.5 pounds)
  • Climbing (infrequently navigate stairs or climb a ladder; during delivery of product, navigation of five or more flights of stairs may be required)
  • Stooping/Bending (forward bending at the waist at the pizza assembly station for approximately 30 - 45 seconds at one time, repeated continuously during the day; also at the front counter and when stocking ingredients)
  • Crouching/Squatting (performed occasionally to stock shelves and to clean low areas)
  • Reaching (performed continuously; up, down and forward; above 72" occasionally; down for tasks like scooping cornmeal or washing dishes; forward for obtaining topping ingredients, cleaning work surfaces, or answering phones)
