About The Position

General Manager - Rolling Hills / Grass Clippings & Glenrosa At Grass Clippings, we're redefining the par-3 golf experience—and we're just getting started. Home to Arizona's first fully lit 18-hole golf course, Grass Clippings Rolling Hills is nestled in the heart of the Papago Buttes, just minutes from ASU, downtown Phoenix, and Old Town Scottsdale. We're also proud hosts of The Grass League, the world's first high-stakes par-3 golf league featuring team ownership. This is more than golf. This is Grassy. We're seeking an innovative, people-first leader to join our team as General Manager, overseeing operations at Rolling Hills and Glenrosa. This role is perfect for someone passionate about creating unforgettable guest experiences, mentoring high-performing teams, and thinking beyond traditional golf. In addition, Grass Clippings is thrilled to introduce Glenrosa, a Sonoran-inspired culinary destination featuring a live-fire wood grill. We're looking for a hospitality-driven professional who thrives in dynamic environments and is committed to delivering exceptional service. As General Manager, you will direct and oversee all aspects of the property, including a high-performing Food & Beverage operation. You'll manage relationships with guests, associates, and the community, ensuring maximum guest satisfaction and strong financial performance. Extensive food and beverage experience is a must.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree (BA); or five to ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
(Multi-course facilities may require more experience.)
Regularly stands, walks and sits.
Regularly uses hands and finger, feel or handle, reaches with arms and hands, talks or hears.
Occasionally works in outdoor weather conditions.
Noise level is moderate.
Strong working knowledge and experience in all aspects of Food & Beverage operations, kitchens, special events and on course food and beverage service.
Ability to read and speak English may be required in order to perform the duties of the job (e.g. the associates may be required to communicate with English speaking customers or co-workers, the manuals for the equipment the associates may use are in English).
Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.

CMAA member or PGA/LPGA membership preferred.

Responsibilities

Support and direct the operation of a culinary destination that offers unique, high quality and consistent products to both non-golfer and golfer diners.
Works closely with Food and Beverage Manager, Head Pro and the Superintendent on a daily basis to ensure timely communication and to establish a good working relationship.
Supervises inventories of materials and supplies for all outlets.
Maintains par levels based on facility needs.
Administers menu design, product pricing, ordering, inventory control procedures, and end of month inventory
Coordinates menu planning with Executive Chef
Ensures sanitation standards are consistently met
Creates a guest service-oriented atmosphere & culture that promotes the game of golf and a culinary destination and meets the needs of the members and guests of the property.
Coordinates development of operating and capital budgets according to the budget calendar; monitors monthly and other financial statements for the property; takes effective corrective action as required.
Monitors monthly and other financial reports/statements on a daily, weekly and monthly basis for the facility and takes corrective action when necessary.
Oversees the care and maintenance of all the facility's physical assets and each individual facility
Creates the properties long-range and annual (business) plans.
Develops, maintains and administers a sound organizational plan and initiates improvements as necessary.
Establishes basic personnel policy, initiates and establishes basic personnel policy, initiates and monitors policies relating to personnel actions and training along with professional development programs.
Ensures all Human Resources procedures and policies are followed by management staff.
Implements policies and procedures for multiple departments, including compliance of all company standards relating to quality of products and services.
Consistently ensures that the property is operated in accordance with all applicable local, state and federal laws.
Ensures that associates provide a high level of guest service.
Responsible for interviewing, hiring, training, planning, assigning, and directing work, evaluating performance, rewarding, and disciplining associates; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Directly manages department members that may include, but is not limited to: Head Professional(s), Golf Course Superintendent(s), Tournament Director, F&B Manager, Chef, Instruction, etc.
