About The Position

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Restaurant General Manager to lead daily operations at the newest addition to the Urban Roots family. The ideal candidate is a confident, hands-on leader with a strong foundation in full-service restaurant operations, a passion for hospitality, and the ability to “host the party” while maintaining operational excellence. This role is responsible for overseeing and developing the management and service teams, ensuring food safety and compliance standards are met, managing inventory and labor, and upholding exceptional service and guest experience standards in a fast-paced environment. The General Manager will play a key role in driving performance, fostering a positive and accountable team culture, and contributing to the continued growth and success of the restaurant.

Requirements

  • Proven management experience in fast-casual full-service environments; fine dining or hotel experience is a plus.
  • Strong background in food industry operations.
  • Familiarity with Toast POS systems; cash handling experience required.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with experience in supervising teams, training staff, and managing shifts effectively.
  • Knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation regulations.
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle guest concerns professionally.
  • Experience in inventory control, budgeting, and cost management within a hospitality setting.
  • Financial literacy for reviewing and P&L statements
  • Ability to interview candidates and develop staff through training & development initiatives.
  • Hospitality management background with experience in managing restaurant operations from start to finish.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise all restaurant operations, including, but not limited to, service and scheduling.
  • Regularly, oversee staff training, development, and performance evaluations to ensure high standards of customer service and food quality.
  • Manage inventory control, ordering supplies, and maintaining proper food safety and sanitation standards.
  • Utilize Toast POS for order processing, cash handling, and sales tracking.
  • Coordinate shift management to ensure smooth transitions between team members during busy hours.
  • Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly to ensure excellent guest satisfaction on all ordering and review platforms.
  • Oversee and assist in managing budgeting strategies and costs related to food, labor, and supplies to optimize profitability.
  • Supervise catering events, banquets, or special functions as needed while maintaining high standards of hospitality.
  • Conduct staff interviews, hiring processes, and ongoing training sessions to build a skilled team capable of delivering exceptional service.
  • Keep track of maintenance issues and report in proper channels
  • Assist in developing SOP’s and ensure all responsibilities are being managed and staff is being held accountable
  • Attend weekly management/operation meetings
