About The Position

This position directs and manages the Correction Enterprise Farm, Cannery, and Fresh Produce Distribution Center at Roanoke River Correctional. Its primary purpose is to lead and integrate a wide range of administrative and operational support functions for a unique division within the Department of Adult Correction. Serving as the General Manager, this role oversees 3 specialized plant operations within State government. Because NC Correction Enterprise plants are highly technical, the position requires strong technical knowledge of each assigned plant and any necessary industry certifications. The GM must understand the technical processes and pricing associated with farming, canning, and produce distribution. Responsibilities include directing and coordinating plant operations in the areas of safety, cost accounting, capital planning, procurement, and centralized administrative support.

Requirements

• Must be eligible for certification by the North Carolina Criminal Justice Education & Training Standards Commission.
• Bachelor’s degree in business administration or a related field, or a degree in the related program area from an appropriately accredited institution and a minimum of five years of managerial experience; OR An equivalent combination of training and directly related experience.

• Experience using NCFS, Ariba (E-procurement), and NCFS Manufacturing Module
