About The Position

A well-established Pacific Coast RV campground is seeking an experienced General Manager to lead day-to-day operations and elevate the guest experience. This confidential opportunity is ideal for a hospitality-driven leader with strong operational, financial, and people-management skills who thrives in an outdoor resort environment. The General Manager will oversee all aspects of campground operations, ensuring the property is clean, safe, welcoming, and financially sound while fostering a positive culture for both guests and team members. This property is supported by Horizon Outdoor Hospitality, a professional RV resort management organization, though this role is being recruited confidentially.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of resort or campground operations experience, including 3+ years in a General Manager or equivalent leadership role
  • Strong leadership, customer service, and team-development skills
  • Financial acumen with the ability to manage reports, budgets, and operational controls
  • Comfortable working independently while collaborating with a management company
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word) and reservation systems
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to meet the physical demands of the role
  • Passion for hospitality, outdoor recreation, and community engagement
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift up to 60 lbs, and perform hands-on operational duties as needed
  • Ability to work both indoors and outdoors in varying conditions

Responsibilities

  • Lead all campground operations with a strong focus on guest satisfaction and service excellence
  • Hire, train, coach, evaluate, and manage staff to maintain high operational standards
  • Oversee daily financial operations, reporting, and budget adherence
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, OSHA requirements, and workers’ compensation procedures
  • Conduct regular inspections and follow up on delegated tasks
  • Partner with ownership/management on operational improvements, reporting, and performance metrics
  • Coordinate and participate in community outreach and local marketing initiatives
  • Facilitate regular staff meetings, training sessions, and safety meetings with documented agendas
  • Maintain professional communication with guests, staff, and external stakeholders at all times
