About The Position

Bar ‘Cino Brookline is looking for a General Manager to join the team. Bar ‘Cino (we say “chee-no”) is an informal neighborhood spot on Beacon Street in Brookline dedicated to making our guests feel welcome. We feature a casual Italian-inspired menu and a thoughtfully selected wine and cocktail list. We are the to go place for fun and great food! Bar 'Cino is proud to be part of the Newport Restaurant Group! About the Position: In the General Manager role, you will be responsible for the daily operations and financial success of the property by optimizing profits and increasing sales. About You: The General Manager will be driven to succeed, possess excellent multitasking, interpersonal and communication skills combined with the desire to develop people and culture combined with a passion for food and hospitality. 3 years minimum GM experience with high volume, extensive beverage, and fine dining environments.

Requirements

A minimum of 3 years as a General Manager in an upscale, high-volume establishment
Must have flexible schedule to work during days, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
Strong leadership skills, with demonstrated ability to build relationships and manage staff
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Must be able to stand for long periods of time
Ability to lift and move 25-50 pounds
Be collaborative, using a team approach to creating an equitable workplace environment and have respectful working relationships

Responsibilities

Ensuring a quality guest experience by managing all areas of the restaurant’s daily operations
Hiring, training, and development of employees and managers, specific areas to include Guest Service, Etiquette, Food and Beverage Knowledge
Daily reconciliation of actual revenues and payroll to budget and forecast
Familiarity with financials, budgets, purchasing, labor costs, food costing, and inventory controls
