About The Position

The Bar Manager oversees all bar operations at the ranch, ensuring exceptional beverage service, smooth daily operations, and a warm, welcoming environment for guests. This role manages the bartending team, maintains inventory and ordering, develops beverage offerings, and supports ranch functions. The ideal candidate is a strong leader with excellent hospitality skills, solid beverage knowledge, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic, guest-centered setting. Must be available to work the full season from May to October.

Requirements

3+ years of bartending experience and 1+ years in a supervisory or management role.
Strong knowledge of spirits, beer, wine, and craft cocktail techniques.
Excellent leadership, communication, and team-building skills.
Ability to multitask and manage high-volume periods while maintaining quality and guest focus.
Valid alcohol service certification as required by state law, or willingness to obtain.
Must be 21 or older.
Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 40 lbs.

Nice To Haves

Experience in resort, hotel, or guest ranch settings is a plus.

Responsibilities

Lead daily bar operations, ensuring consistent, high-quality beverage service.
Supervise and train bartenders.
Create and maintain cocktail menus, seasonal features, and specialty drinks that align with ranch style and guest preferences.
Maintain inventory, track usage, place orders, and ensure proper storage of all beverages and bar supplies.
Oversee bar cleanliness, setup, breakdown, and compliance with safety and sanitation standards.
Ensure responsible alcohol service and coach staff on guest safety awareness.
Coordinate beverage service for ranch events, outdoor dinners, and private functions.
Collaborate with the Food & Beverage team to deliver seamless guest experiences.
Manage POS systems and reporting.
Foster a positive, engaging bar atmosphere that reflects the ranch’s hospitality culture.
