About The Position

The General Manager is responsible for the overall performance, leadership, and strategic direction of the Vantage Mobility AMS dealership, with oversight of sales, service, marketing, and operations. This role is pivotal in delivering best-in-class experiences to customers with mobility needs, while driving business growth, optimizing profitability, and maintaining operational excellence. The ideal candidate will be a dynamic leader with strong business acumen, proven operational expertise, and a deep understanding of the specialized automotive or mobility industry.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a management role within an automotive dealership or closely related environment
  • Demonstrated success leading cross-functional teams and driving performance in sales, service, and marketing
  • Strong financial acumen with full P&L management experience
  • Proven ability to coach and develop high-performing sales teams
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and decision-making skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); experience with CRM platforms preferred
  • Highly organized with attention to detail and a customer-first mindset

  • Knowledge of adaptive automotive or mobility vehicle industry is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Customer Experience: Ensure exceptional customer service by aligning products and services with individual customer needs; strive for 100% customer satisfaction at all times.
  • Team Leadership: Lead, coach, and manage high-performing teams across sales, service, marketing, and administration; set clear goals and hold team members accountable for performance.
  • Strategic Planning: Develop and execute short- and long-term plans that align with business objectives; adjust strategies as market and operational conditions evolve.
  • Sales & Profitability: Achieve or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales volume and gross profit targets for new and pre-owned units.
  • Financial Oversight: Manage full P&L responsibilities; deliver accurate monthly financial reporting including unit sales, gross margins, and net income.
  • Operational Excellence: Oversee daily operations and continuously identify opportunities to improve efficiency, service delivery, and profitability.
  • Reporting: Provide senior leadership with weekly updates on dealership performance, sales forecasts, and operational trends.
  • Talent Development: Recruit, train, and develop team members; conduct regular performance evaluations and establish professional development goals.
  • Marketing Collaboration: Work closely with internal and external marketing teams to implement data-driven campaigns aligned with sales goals.
  • Culture & Engagement: Foster a positive, inclusive, and high-energy work environment that drives team morale and performance.
  • Compensation Management: Oversee compensation structures to ensure they align with performance goals and budget parameters.
  • Brand Visibility: Lead cost-effective advertising, promotional, and merchandising strategies to increase market presence and drive traffic.
  • Community Engagement: Represent the dealership in local and state community outreach initiatives, particularly within the disability and mobility sectors.
  • Partnership Building: Cultivate strong relationships with external organizations serving individuals with mobility challenges.
