About The Position

At Einstein Bros. Bagels, we believe in the bagel and have been baking bagels fresh daily since 1995. Our bakeries aim to spread joy and happiness, and we are committed to work-life balance for our team, with stores closing at 2pm. We are looking for a General Manager to oversee all aspects of the store with a “treat it like you own it” philosophy. General Managers start as early as 4am for the first bake and store opening. During the day, they ensure the store is audit-ready, execute catering, mobile, and in-store orders, and provide an exceptional customer experience. During breakfast and lunch rushes, GMs assist in all positions, manage breaks, and aim for good customer survey results. After closing at 2pm, it takes about 30-45 minutes to close and prep for the next day. Administrative tasks like scheduling, ordering, or inventory are typically done before opening or after closing. The daily deposit is taken to the bank, and the workday finishes well before dinner time. The company provides 5 weeks of training for this role.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years old to apply
  • 1-3 years prior General Manager or Assistant General Manager experience in a restaurant setting
  • Hands-on operator
  • Ability to simultaneously motivate and inspire the team
  • Tried and true strategies for achieving food cost goals and labor targets
