About The Position
Establish and execute a clear strategic roadmap that aligns with Carver Companies’ long‑term objectives. Identify and capitalize on emerging market opportunities, competitive pressures, and industry trends to guide strategic positioning. Lead the development of multi‑year business plans, capital strategies, and organizational priorities. Champion innovation, operational excellence, and continuous improvement across the business unit.
Requirements
- Minimum 10 years of experience in the maritime industry, with at least 5 years in a senior management or leadership role in maritime transportation or related industry.
- Demonstrated success in strategic planning, financial management, and organizational leadership.
- Strong commercial acumen with experience in customer engagement, contract negotiation, and business development.
- Exceptional communication, executive presence, and decision‑making capability.
- Ability to lead through influence, manage complexity, and drive long‑term performance.
- Demonstrated experience in financial management, budgeting, and cost control in a maritime or related industrial environment.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor’s degree in Maritime Studies, Engineering, Business Administration, Management or a related field
- Professional certifications related to maritime operations, safety, or ship management are a plus (e.g., STCW, IMO certifications).
