You will have full responsibility for the performance and growth of the business, overseeing operations from order entry through shipping, with accountability for P&L, operational efficiency, customer experience, safety, and regulatory compliance. You’ll play a critical role in strengthening operational discipline and partnering cross-functionally to grow the Door and Frame business in alignment with Door Group. You will also: Drive business development and sales strategy to expand IDP’s presence with millwork distributors, contractors, and interior door OEMs. Strengthen customer relationships and uncover new market opportunities to fuel sustainable growth. Lead manufacturing operations including production scheduling, inventory, labor planning, and equipment maintenance, ensuring strong service levels and operational discipline. Expand and optimize our pre‑hung door business through improved processes, product offering, and customer engagement. Champion Lean principles and continuous improvement, balancing operational excellence with strong commercial leadership. Monitor and analyze production metrics (output, efficiency, downtime, quality, and cost) to identify improvement opportunities. Build, mentor, and inspire a high‑performing leadership team while navigating the cultural transition from a family‑owned environment to a professionally scaled business. Foster a culture of accountability, safety, respect, and engagement. Partner cross‑functionally with Door Group leaders to align strategy, resources, and long-term planning. Ensure compliance with all federal, state, local, and corporate policies, AADG programs, and the ASSA ABLOY Code of Conduct.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Business, or a related field preferred.
  • Proven senior leadership experience in a manufacturing environment (metal forming experience a plus).
  • Strong commercial acumen and a proven track record in sales growth, business development, or channel expansion.
  • Knowledge of millwork distribution, contractors, or OEM channels, or the ability to quickly develop expertise in these markets.
  • Experience coaching and mentoring teams, willingness to be a present leader who is accessible and visible during shifts.
  • Data-driven mindset with the ability to leverage metrics, forecasting, and reporting to drive performance.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel and PowerPoint).
