About The Position

Our Canyon Ranch Wellness Club in Fort Worth, Texas is now seeking a General Manager. The General Manager will be responsible for the overall leadership, strategy, and performance of a luxury fitness and spa operation, ensuring operational excellence, financial success, and an exceptional member and guest experience. This role serves as the primary leader on site, accountable for driving revenue growth, managing profitability, and aligning day to day operations with the organization’s long term vision and brand standards. DUTIES INCLUDE Oversee all departments, including fitness, spa, membership, retail, and wellness programming, you will bring bring a strong understanding of both fitness and spa operations, including personal training, group fitness, recovery services, treatment protocols, and service standards, ensuring a seamless and elevated wellness experience. Build and develop high performing teams across disciplines, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and service excellence. Act as both a strategic thinker and hands on operator, maintaining a strong presence on the floor, engaging with members and guests, and ensuring consistent execution of brand standards. Curate innovative wellness offerings, integrating fitness and spa services, and staying attuned to industry trends in health, recovery, and holistic wellbeing. The ideal candidate brings strong leadership experience, financial acumen, and a proven ability to manage complex, multi department operations within a fitness, spa, or hospitality environment. A deep passion for wellness, combined with expertise in both fitness and spa programming, is essential. Excellent communication skills, sound decision making, and a commitment to continuous improvement will be critical for success.

Requirements

  • 6+ years significant specialized experience in same or related field
  • Bachelor’s degree in Management, Communications or Business.
  • Certified Spa Director or Spa Management Certification from ISPA or equivalent organization.
  • Documented successful Spa operations experience, Opening experience a plus
  • Immersion and knowledge of the Dallas/Fort Worth culture working in luxury product sales & services
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving history
  • CPR/AED certification required within 90 days of employment

Responsibilities

  • Provide overall leadership and direction for daily operations across fitness, spa, membership, retail, and wellness programming.
  • Ensure seamless integration of services, consistent execution of brand standards, and excellence in facility presentation, cleanliness, and safety.
  • Oversee staffing models, scheduling, and labor management to maintain efficient and high quality operations.
  • Drive profitability through effective budget management, forecasting, and performance tracking.
  • Identify and execute strategies to grow revenue across membership, personal training, spa services, and retail.
  • Monitor key performance indicators and adjust business strategies to optimize financial outcomes.
  • Lead, coach, and develop high performing, multi disciplinary teams across fitness, spa, and operations.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and service excellence.
  • Support recruitment, training, and ongoing development to ensure a strong and engaged team.
  • Ensure delivery of an exceptional, personalized experience by maintaining a strong presence on the floor, engaging with members and guests, and resolving concerns proactively.
  • Create a welcoming, community driven environment that reflects a premium wellness and hospitality brand.
  • Develop and implement innovative wellness programming that integrates fitness, recovery, and spa services.
  • Stay informed on industry trends and evolving guest expectations.
  • Partner with leadership and marketing teams to support long term growth, brand positioning, and member engagement strategies.
