About The Position

The General Manager at Gulfstream Manor Resort (23 units) leads overall property operations, partnering with teams across the resort to deliver a positive and consistent guest experience while meeting operational and financial goals. This role oversees daily activities across front office and reservations, housekeeping, and maintenance, ensuring all services are delivered safely, efficiently, and in alignment with company policies and quality standards. The General Manager uses data and key performance indicators to guide decisions, manage budgets, control expenses, and identify opportunities to improve service levels and profitability. This position builds, develops, and supports an engaged team, promotes collaboration across functions, and responds to guest feedback to drive continuous improvement. Success in this role requires effective communication, thoughtful leadership, and the ability to balance operational priorities with a people‑first approach.

Requirements

  • In-depth familiarity with vacation ownership principles, practices, and procedures, including HOA laws and regulations in the day-to-day management of the resort.
  • Must possess and apply a comprehensive knowledge of financial principles and statements to review and analyze resort and HOA financial status.
  • Must demonstrate skill in developing and maintaining a culture of diversity, equity and inclusion.
  • Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • 3-5 years of prior General Manager experience.
  • 5 years of management experience in a comparable property.
  • Demonstrated experience leading extensive food and beverage and Spa operations within a high-volume hospitality environment.
  • BA/BS/Bachelor's Degree

  • Responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of resort functions, such as front office, housekeeping, and maintenance functions.
  • Communicates continuously with the Homeowners Association(s) Board of Directors.
  • Develops and maintains cost and labor controls to ensure operation within budget.
  • Must demonstrate leadership skills with the ability to acquire, develop and retain an engaged team.
  • Conducts periodic inspections of units, building, grounds, noting deficiencies of employees, contractors and physical appearance of property.

  • Ensure guest/owner safety and security; maintain crisis management plan.
  • Assures compliance with labor laws and respects areas of responsibility.
  • Works closely with developer, homeowners’ association, and project management.
