About The Position

The General Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of store operations, including equipment operation, inventory management, product preparation, and facility cleaning. This role involves receiving and processing customer orders both in person and over the phone, requiring strong communication and essential functional skills such as accurate monetary transactions and computer order entry. The position also includes delivery duties, requiring the manager to deliver products and marketing materials, navigate delivery areas, and operate a personal vehicle. The work environment involves exposure to varying weather conditions, temperature extremes (from 36 degrees in coolers to over 90 degrees in work areas), food odors, commercial dust, cramped spaces, hot surfaces, sharp edges, and moving mechanical parts. Physical demands are significant and continuous, involving standing, walking, lifting up to 60 pounds, carrying, pushing, climbing, bending, crouching, and extensive hand tasks requiring eye-hand coordination. Training is provided on the job.

Requirements

  • Ability to comprehend and give correct written instructions
  • Ability to communicate verbally with customers and co-workers to process orders both over the phone and in person
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately and quickly (may use calculator)
  • Must be able to make correct monetary change
  • Verbal, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders
  • Motor coordination between eye and hands/fingers to rapidly and accurately make precise movements with speed
  • Ability to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen
  • Valid Driver License with safe driving record meeting company standards
  • Access to insured vehicle which can be used for delivery
  • Navigational skills to read a map, locate addresses within designated delivery area
  • Must navigate adverse terrain including multi-story buildings, private homes, and other delivery sites while carrying product

Responsibilities

  • Operate all equipment
  • Stock ingredients from delivery area storage, work area, walk-in cooler
  • Prepare product
  • Receive and process telephone orders
  • Take inventory and complete associated paperwork
  • Clean equipment and facility approximately daily
  • Deliver product by car and then to door of customer
  • Deliver flyers and doorhangers or any marketing materials
