General Responsibilities: The General Manager is responsible for the oversight of club operations to ensure an exceptional "Judgement Free" member experience as well as a financially successful club. The General Manager is accountable for leading a team of employees in a positive, motivating manner. We are looking for a leader who is results- oriented and committed to quality service. Anticipated responsibilities outlined below.

Requirements

• Two (2) years Supervisor or Manager experience in a restaurant or retail environment in a high-volume atmosphere or two (2) years Planet Fitness experience preferred.
• Comfortable working a flexible rotating schedule
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications (Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel)
• A High School Diploma or Equivalent required
• Manage cash drawer and deposit procedure.
• A Bachelor's Degree on Management or Administrative related, or four (4) years supervisor or manager experience preferred
• Ability to travel to other clubs as needed
• Ability to talk and hear, sit, stand, and use their hands and fingers to handle or feel.
• Occasionally required to stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, climb or balance, and to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
• The employee must frequently lift and move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and move objects up to 75 pounds.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

• Involved in all front desk related activities.
• Answer phones in a friendly manner and assist callers with a variety of questions.
• Check members into the system.
• New member sign-up.
• Take prospective members on tours.
• Facilitate all member requests, issues, and questions.
• Recruit, hire, train and develop a high performing staff consisting of Assistant General Managers, Front Desk Associates, Fitness Trainers, Barbers, and Hairdressers.
• Create and maintain a welcoming atmosphere for all members, prospective members and guests and ensure staff follows superior customer service guidelines.
• Schedule staff and ensure all shifts are covered.
• Lead by example and maintain consistent accountability for direct reports by training and coaching, ensuring adherence to PF's values and goals.
• Administration and processing of bi-weekly employee timesheets.
• Resolve employee issues or concerns.
• Manage corrective action/termination activities.
