About The Position

CJ Logistics America is looking for key leaders to support its growth across the country, specifically for a General Manager II role. This position involves leading and developing a team of salaried and hourly talent, with P&L responsibility for one or more distribution centers. Managers are expected to engage their teams to maintain high levels of safety, quality, attendance, and performance, providing necessary tools and driving improvements through data-driven decisions. The role also includes maintaining customer expectations for timely and accurate order delivery. CJ Logistics delivers integrated and multimodal logistics services globally via air, sea, and land. As a lead logistics partner (LLP), third-party logistics provider (3PL), and supply chain consultant, the company helps customers leverage supply chain management for competitive advantage, reducing costs, transforming business processes, improving service, and facilitating growth. Requirements

  • Proven successful track record in supply chain management
  • Minimum of 5 years managerial experience
  • Strong leadership skills with the knowledge of all warehouse operations
  • Customer focused with strong customer interaction capabilities
  • Strong planning, organizational, communications, and interpersonal skills

Responsibilities

  • Support, mentor, and motivate managers to drive the success of the team
  • Lead customer relationship through close daily contact and ensure relationship is strong
  • Connect employees to the building awareness around KPIs, contractual inputs, and budget commitments
  • Drive cost-reduction initiatives and continuous improvement activity
  • Maintain a safe, secure, and productive work environment through self-audit, building maintenance, and regulatory compliance
  • Collaborate with all support teams to develop plans to meet business objective
  • Lead large-scope projects with site and regional impact
  • Connect with the hourly workforce and maintain high moral
  • Partner with leadership to coordinate supplies ordering and maintenance schedules
  • Lead and engage in site activities and ESG events
  • Lead and participate in site management meetings and employee round tables
  • Partner with finance to review monthly financials
  • Hold monthly safety meetings with the safety committee
  • Participate and assist in completion of inventory and quality audits
