About The Position

CJ Logistics America is seeking key leaders to support its nationwide growth. This role involves leading and developing salaried and hourly teams, with P&L responsibility for one or more distribution centers. The General Manager II will ensure high levels of safety, quality, attendance, and performance by providing necessary tools and driving improvements through data-driven decisions. A key aspect is maintaining customer expectations for timely and accurate order delivery. CJ Logistics delivers integrated and multimodal logistics services globally, acting as a lead logistics partner (LLP), third-party logistics provider (3PL), and supply chain consultant. The company helps customers gain competitive advantage through supply chain management, focusing on reducing costs, transforming processes, improving service, and facilitating growth. CJ Logistics prioritizes social responsibility and sustainability, growing with customers and communities, and ensuring the well-being of consumers, customers, and employees. CJ Logistics America specifically handles the North American region, offering solutions for regulated industries like food and beverage, consumer-packaged goods, healthcare, medical supplies, tire, and automotive.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent, preferred
  • Proven successful track record in supply chain management
  • Minimum of 5 years managerial experience
  • Strong leadership skills with the knowledge of all warehouse operations
  • Customer focused with strong customer interaction capabilities
  • Strong planning, organizational, communications, and interpersonal skills

Responsibilities

  • Support, mentor, and motivate managers to drive the success of the team
  • Lead customer relationship through close daily contact and ensure relationship is strong
  • Connect employees to the building awareness around KPIs, contractual inputs, and budget commitments
  • Drive cost-reduction initiatives and continuous improvement activity
  • Maintain a safe, secure, and productive work environment through self-audit, building maintenance, and regulatory compliance
  • Collaborate with all support teams to develop plans to meet business objective
  • Lead large-scope projects with site and regional impact
  • Connect with the hourly workforce and maintain high moral
  • Partner with leadership to coordinate supplies ordering and maintenance schedules
  • Lead and engage in site activities and ESG events
  • Lead and participate in site management meetings and employee round tables
  • Partner with finance to review monthly financials
  • Hold monthly safety meetings with the safety committee
  • Participate and assist in completion of inventory and quality audits
