What Our Leaders Do General Managers General Managers at Salt & Straw are hands-on operators and team builders who own the full success of the shop — people, operations, and guest experience. You will: • Lead daily shop operations including scheduling, payroll, inventory, facilities, and financial performance • Hire, train, and develop a high-performing leadership team • Set clear expectations and coach with consistency, generosity, and directness • Create a culture where people feel supported, challenged, and proud of their work • Deliver thoughtful, memorable hospitality rooted in curiosity and care • Use data and insights to drive results across sales, labor, and guest experience • Build strong relationships in the local community • Partner cross-functionally to support long-term shop and market success Assistant General Managers Assistant General Managers support the overall success of the shop by leading people, operations, and guest experience alongside the GM. You will: • Partner with the GM to achieve operational, cultural, and financial goals • Lead shifts and ensure smooth daily execution • Coach, mentor, and support Shift Coordinators and Scoopers • Support recruiting, onboarding, and retention efforts • Monitor labor and sales performance • Uphold product quality, food safety, and shop standards • Deliver memorable hospitality and resolve guest concerns • Step into team roles as needed and support community engagement What You’ll Get We offer competitive pay, thoughtful benefits, and a people-first culture that values who you are and how you show up. Wage Transparency We are actively embracing pay transparency. Assistant General Manager (DFW) Hiring range: $24.75–$27.50 per hour Full earning potential within broader range: $24.75–$30.25 General Manager (DFW) Hiring range: $27.23–$30.25 per hour Full earning potential within broader range: $27.23–$33.28 Final compensation is determined through our pay equity review process to ensure fairness and alignment across our teams, while considering experience and approved market ranges.

Requirements

  • Have 3+ years of leadership experience in food service, hospitality, or retail (GM candidates typically bring 5+)
  • Have led teams of 10+ in a fast-paced environment
  • Know how to coach, develop, and support people with clarity and care
  • Love building team culture and delivering excellent guest experiences
  • Are excited to help launch and grow a new market
  • Are 18+ and available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
