About The Position

As the General Manager of a $275M product line, this role will drive strategic growth and operational success for a portfolio of cloud based asset management applications and the aftermarket parts business. The General Manager, directly reporting to Chief Product Officer and will be responsible for delivering business results while setting the long term vision and fostering a high-performance culture grounded in accountability, collaboration, and inclusion.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Management, Engineering, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred but not required.
  • 15+ years of progressive leadership experience, including at least 5 years in General Management, Managing Director, or equivalent role overseeing a full business unit.
  • Direct experience in relevant industries such as industrial technology, mobility infrastructure, connected systems, or smart devices preferred.
  • Familiarity with both hardware and software-driven business models is highly desirable.
  • General management acumen: strong financial acumen with proven accountability for P&L, balancing operational rigor & strategic thinking.
  • Product Management: knowledge & experience of overseeing product lifecycles and leading product teams directly or indirectly.
  • Demonstrated success leading cross-functional teams and driving operational excellence in a global, matrix organization.
  • Customer & Market insight: deep understanding of market trends, customer needs, and competitor activity.
  • Experience designing and executing transformational business strategies.
  • Proven track record of achieving business growth and managing complex business models.
  • Excellent strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Experience managing global or multi-regional operations preferred.

  • Familiarity with both hardware and software-driven business models is highly desirable.
  • Experience leading change management and digital transformation initiatives is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute comprehensive portfolio and go-to-market strategies- spanning both remote management applications and aftermarket parts -to achieve revenue, profitability, and growth objectives.
  • Own P&L responsibility for the solution stack, while delivering on short-term financial performance and long-term strategic growth.
  • Directly and indirectly ensure efficient and effective operations across all departments, including product development, product/solution readiness, sales, marketing, and customer support.
  • Prioritize initiatives and partner with functional leaders to align resources & capabilities across the solution stack.
  • Collaborate to ensure budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting processes maximize profitability and inform decision-making.
  • Build and maintain strong trust-based relationships with key customers, partners, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Drive portfolio strategy and roadmap, including lifecycle management and innovation investments
  • Monitor market trends, customer needs, and competitor activities to identify risks, opportunities, and areas for innovation.
  • Champion a culture of continuous improvement, inclusion, and collaboration.
  • Identify and pursue new market opportunities, partnerships, and strategic growth initiatives to expand market presence.
  • Build high performing teams, cultivate talent, and lead with influence across functions
