About The Position

The General Maintenance Worker will support Aptim Federal Services at Fort Benning by performing general maintenance in repair of equipment, machinery, and buildings requiring practical skills and knowledge in such trades as painting, carpentry, plumbing, concrete, masonry, and electrical work. Requirements

  • Must have 3-5 years of experience being a General Maintenance
  • Valid State Driver's License
  • Meet requirements for: pre-employment physical, drug screening, background check, and MVR check (MVR points are subject to company policy)

Responsibilities

  • Daily time entry.
  • Daily operation of various power/hand tools.
  • Read and interpret simple plans and use laser levels.
  • Ensure all tools and equipment are in the best working condition by conducting daily inspections and cleaning.
  • Replacing electrical receptacles, wires, switches, fixtures, and motors.
  • Working with plaster or compound to patch minor holes, cracks in walls, and ceilings.
  • Repairing or replacing sinks, water coolers, toilets, damaged paneling, floor tiles, concrete slabs, steps, sidewalks, physical fitness structures, chain link fence, fence fabric, and fencing hardware.
  • Hanging doors, installing door locks, and replacing broken windowpanes.
  • Painting structures and equipment.
  • Other job duties as assigned.
