About The Position

The General Maintenance Worker is responsible for performing a variety of repair, upkeep, and improvement tasks to ensure that facilities, equipment, and grounds are maintained in safe and functional condition. This role supports daily operations by addressing maintenance needs in a timely and efficient manner.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Previous maintenance or related experience required
• Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and general repair work
• Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Good communication and time management skills
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
• Capable of standing, walking, bending, and climbing for extended periods
• Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in varying conditions

Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections of buildings, equipment, and systems
• Complete basic repairs including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and HVAC tasks
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and work orders
• Maintain and repair tools, equipment, and machinery
• Conduct preventative maintenance to minimize downtime and costly repairs
• Ensure cleanliness and organization of maintenance areas and storage spaces
• Assist with groundskeeping tasks such as landscaping, snow removal, and debris cleanup
• Follow safety procedures and maintain compliance with all regulations
• Coordinate with outside contractors when necessary
