About The Position

Seneca Resources is seeking a General Maintenance Technician to join our client's facilities team in Neenah, WI. This hands-on role is ideal for a skilled professional who takes pride in maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing industrial and commercial building systems. The ideal candidate will be a proactive problem solver with strong technical expertise, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to safety and quality. You'll perform preventive maintenance, diagnose complex mechanical and electrical issues, and ensure optimal operation of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems. This position offers the opportunity to work on diverse facility systems and be part of a collaborative, cross-trained team environment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; additional technical or trade training preferred.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in facility maintenance, mechanical, electrical, or industrial systems.
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and building systems.
  • Proficient in troubleshooting equipment and performing complex repairs.
  • Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, forklifts, and aerial lifts.
  • Familiarity with Building Automation Systems (BAS) and Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and email communication.
  • Valid driver's license; forklift and aerial lift certifications required (or ability to obtain).
  • Must be able to adapt to changing priorities, work occasional weekends or extended hours, and maintain a high standard of safety and performance.

Responsibilities

  • Perform scheduled preventive maintenance (PMs) and corrective repairs on facility equipment and systems.
  • Conduct shift rounds to inspect systems, record performance data, and identify issues before they become critical.
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, including HVAC, fire/life safety systems, and building automation systems.
  • Maintain and repair transformers, motors, motor control centers, variable frequency drives, and electrical circuits.
  • Service dock equipment, lighting systems, and other building infrastructure.
  • Overhaul pumps, valves, and pneumatic/electrical components as needed.
  • Manage parts ordering, vendor coordination, and documentation within the CMMS.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and site personnel to provide updates and ensure safe, efficient operations.
  • Participate in facility improvement projects and support maintenance initiatives as assigned.
