About The Position

Keep all production equipment running in a safe, efficient, and cost-effective manner. Maintain the building and property.

Requirements

• Four-year state indentured apprenticeship as a Machine Repairer or
• Two-year diploma in Industrial Maintenance Mechanic and two years’ experience as a General/Machine Repairer or Maintenance Technician or
• Eight years’ experience as a Machine Repairer as applied to industrial equipment and processes.
• Ability to work at 10–40-foot heights.
• Ability to obtain a PIV license.

Responsibilities

• Work in a safe, and courteous manner. Maintenance employees are safety leaders.
• Regular attendance is an expectation of the job.
• Equipment and building maintenance including machine repairs, welding, plumbing, carpentry, and electrical work.
• Use hand tools (i.e. screw drivers, hammer, mallet, vice grips)
• Use power tools (i.e. lathe machine, milling machine, welding, table saw, drill press)
• Drive company trucks, forklifts, and mini cart.
• Develop service contacts to handle repairs beyond internal capabilities.
• Perform maintenance jobs orders as assigned.
• Minimize machine maintenance impact on production.
• Schedule and perform preventative maintenance.
• Order repair parts and services utilizing ERP system.
• Maintain records of maintenance performed utilizing internet-based CMMS.
• Maintain company truck and service records
• Assist in the on the job training of employees in lower classifications.
• Recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product
• Suggest changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of department
