General Maintenance Technician
About The Position
We are seeking a skilled General Maintenance Technician with extensive experience in commercial settings. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry, and will be responsible for maintaining and repairing various systems and structures within our facilities. Pay: $24.00-$26.00/hour The pay listed is the hourly range or the hourly rate for this position. A specific offer will vary based on the applicant’s experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, and alignment with market data. Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training preferred.
- Proven experience in commercial maintenance, with expertise in plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Physical ability to perform manual labor, including lifting heavy objects and working in various conditions.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Nice To Haves
- Certification in HVAC, plumbing, or electrical work.
- Familiarity with OSHA safety standards.
- Experience using maintenance management software.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry repairs.
- Inspect and troubleshoot equipment and systems to identify issues and implement effective solutions.
- Conduct preventive maintenance to ensure the longevity and efficiency of building systems.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs.
- Collaborate with other maintenance staff and contractors to complete larger projects.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and building codes.
