About The Position

Sizemore Inc. is seeking a skilled and motivated General Maintenance Technician to support our client's daily plant operations. This role is essential to maintaining equipment, ensuring safe working conditions, and supporting overall production quality. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical aptitude, experience with machine shop tools, and a solid understanding of basic electrical and gas systems.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED.
Ability to meet or exceed entry-level mechanic skills.
Working knowledge of machine shop equipment and metal fabrication.
Basic understanding of electrical and gas systems.
Ability to read technical drawings and perform accurate math measurements.

Nice To Haves

Experience with multimeters and precision tools (dial indicators, micrometers).
Welding experience.
Strong reasoning, troubleshooting, and critical reading skills.

Responsibilities

Adhere to all company policies, safety regulations, and environmental procedures.
Properly use required PPE; report unsafe conditions and equipment.
Participate in all required safety, quality, and environmental training.
Complete all required quality inspections, documentation, and reports.
Perform daily plant maintenance to ensure equipment reliability.
Operate and maintain lathe, milling machines, and metal fabrication tools.
Read and interpret technical drawings, perform accurate measurements, and follow written procedures.
Service various types of pumps using a dial meter indicator for proper alignment.
Perform basic electrical work, including troubleshooting and wiring motors from 110V to 480V.
Install and maintain gas train systems, regulators, blocking valves, pilots, burners, and limit switches.
Diagnose issues using meters and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, or structural problems.
