About The Position

You will be the General Maintenance Mechanic for the Maintenance Team. Our team is responsible for ensuring operational readiness of plant facilities and supporting production equipment. What You Will Be Doing As the General Maintenance Mechanic you will be responsible for a broad spectrum of construction, maintenance, repair, and fabrication tasks that keep our facilities running smoothly. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: Perform preventative maintenance on rooftop units, air handlers, hoists, paint booths, and other critical equipment. Construct and repair structures such as storage sheds, metal frames, security fencing, and equipment foundations. Fabricate and install steel, sheet‑metal, shelving, racks, benches, and air‑duct systems. Operate heavy machinery, rig loads, and move large equipment safely. Maintain clean work areas, report issues, and support the lead supervisor. Basic Qualifications - An equivalent to a minimum of two (2) years of high school education plus two (2) to three (3) years trades training. -Experience three (3) to five (5) years. Ability to work remotely Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. Work Schedule Information Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
