Requirements

High School Diploma or Equivalent is a plus
Strong mechanical aptitude and basic carpentry and maintenance experience including carpentry, painting, plumbing
Experience safely using warehouse equipment such as order pickers, pallet jacks, forklifts and aerial lifts
Proficient using hand and power tools and computers to perform required duties
Previous battery charger/changer experience is a plus
Must be flexible on working hours and willing to work scheduled & unscheduled overtime
Ability to regularly bend, lift, stretch, crawl and reach, engage in full manual dexterity in both hands and wrists and stand and walk for long periods
Must be comfortable repeatedly lifting up to 75 lbs unassisted
Ability to access all areas of the building by climbing ladders and gangways safely and without limitation
Ability to work in a non-climate controlled environment that can be noisy and unlit
Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and guidelines
Ability to work independently, as part of a team and take direction
Must be a safety conscious, motivated, detail oriented, self-starter with a positive attitude

Responsibilities

Maintain and operate battery changing station including removal and replacement of lift batteries (at applicable sites)
Operates floor sweeper / scrubber to maintain facility floor
General building maintenance including but not limited to plumbing, carpentry and painting
Dispose of hazardous materials in accordance with established OSHA and Wayfair safety policies and procedures
Conduct daily/weekly preventative maintenance and completes daily log sheet
Perform pre-operation checklist and verify all safety devices are functional at all times
Maintain a clean and safe work area
Complete work orders, records, logs and other written or computer-based documents
Perform other job-related duties as directed by Manager/Supervisor
Maintain a good attendance record
