About The Position

Mechanical repair and machine part fabrication, modify and repair production equipment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Operates but not limited to metal lathes, milling machines, saws, grinders, drills, hydraulic presses, sheet metal bending machines, chop saws, band saw, tube-bending equipment, torch cutting equipment. Uses welding process for mechanical repair of various parts Refurbish equipment from rust or corrosion Modify or fabricate components for proper assembly and operation Disassemble or assemble machine parts. Draw diagrams of parts. Do take off dimensioning of parts. Read blue prints and diagrams. Make lists of materials needed. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk and sit. The employee is occasionally required to climb, kneel, crouch and crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/ or move 25 to 50 pounds. This position typically works 8-hour shifts and on occasion may be required to work 1st shift and 2nd shift. Hawkins area/ work hours 7am-3:30pm but must be flexible to work all shifts (when needed) $24.00/ hr possible Temp to Hire!!
