About The Position

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a directly related field.
  • 3-4 years of experience in professional accounting, finance, or a directly related field.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, including the ability to create and deliver quality training.
  • Ability to provide excellent customer service, both over the phone and in person.
  • Strong problem-solving, management, planning, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to conceptualize, plan, and organize multiple assignments effectively to meet changing priorities and deadlines.
  • Functional knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to analyze processes to make process improvement recommendations.

Nice To Haves

  • 2-3 years work experience in general ledger accounting is highly desirable.
  • Strong background in general ledger accounting, reconciliations, and clearing suspense accounts.
  • Knowledge of university and campus policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Manage payroll suspense accounts in Oracle Cloud to ensure data integrity and accurate financial reporting.
  • Maintain, review, and reconcile general ledger accounts related to payroll suspense.
  • Ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll corrections and adjustments.
  • Collaborate with departments and units to resolve discrepancies with payroll postings and implement corrective actions.
  • Provide direction and support to departments in making corrections to labor distribution schedules in compliance with university fiscal policy.
  • Develop, maintain, and deliver training on the labor distribution payroll process to departments.
  • Analyze and review current labor distribution processes to recommend improvements and enhancements.
  • Adhere to payroll deadlines.
