About The Position

The General Laborer is responsible for assisting various departments including production, warehouse, and maintenance in completing essential tasks. This role involves following company policies, collaborating with team members, and performing duties as assigned by management. The laborer will be flexible to work in different areas of the facility, including general production duties such as tool assembly, component preparation, packaging, and operating hand tools, as well as positioning parts and preparing work by studying instructions and gathering materials. Additionally, the role includes general warehouse duties like organizing inventory, crating, packing, and pre-assembling component packages. The General Laborer will also perform basic and routine cleaning tasks throughout the facility, execute basic repairs, conduct grounds maintenance, and wash company vehicles as requested.

Requirements

Experienced in reading and using measuring tools and gauges
Ability to stand, sit, kneel and climb for up to eight hours of the workday
Ability to safely lift 50 pounds
Willing to work part-time, seasonally, in-house
Legally authorized to work for any employer in the United States
Ability to talk or hear to communicate with others via phone, in-person, and/or computer
Ability to listen to customers/vendors/colleagues, problem solve, and respond accordingly
Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently
Required to wear suitable Personal Protective Equipment while working in the warehouse or manufacturing environments

Responsibilities

Follow all company policies and procedures to ensure a safe and productive work environment
Collaborate with team members to accomplish daily tasks efficiently and effectively
Perform other duties as assigned by management
Flexibility to work in different areas of the facility as assigned by management
Execute general production duties as needed, including tool assembly, component preparation, packaging, and operating hand tools
Position parts and subassemblies by using templates or reading measurements
Prepare work to be accomplished by studying assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, and parts lists; gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials
Execute general warehouse duties as needed, including organizing inventory, crating and/or packing, and pre-assembling component packages (pre-boxing/kitting)
Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
Perform basic and routine cleaning tasks in every area of the facility
Execute basic repairs as needed, including changing light bulbs, clearing drains, painting walls, etc.
Execute basic grounds maintenance as needed, including mowing, trimming, and caring for lawn, shrubbery, and trees
Wash and detail company vehicles as requested
