About The Position

TemperPack is a rapidly growing company based in Richmond, Virginia and Las Vegas, Nevada. We design and manufacture innovative, sustainable packaging components for cold-chain shipping of food and pharmaceutical products. The markets we serve have an urgent need for disruptive, sustainable alternatives to replace the wide array of non-sustainable packaging materials conventionally used in the cold-chain such as Styrofoam coolers. Our aspiration is to provide packaging solutions that customers and end-consumers feel great about using.

Requirements

Minimum of a high school diploma or GED is required.
Be on your feet for 10-12 hours.
Lift up to 50 lbs in a continuous manner
Able to reach, bend, kneel and climb while performing repetitive tasks.
Ability to work in hot and cold environments.
Able to correctly wear PPE for entire shifts.
Able to react and respond quickly to noises, smells, visual hazards, and alerts.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, bend, twist.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience in a production environment is preferred.
Valid driver’s license is also preferred.

Responsibilities

Responsible for running production and following safety rules / procedures.
Able to keep up with the flow of production and minimize downtime.
Willingness to use band saws, rip saws, baler, and plussing machine.
Responsible for building boxes with use of tape gun and staple gun
Willingness to help with inventory at the end of the month.
Responsible for area safety and housekeeping
Committed to continuous process improvement and to produce safe and quality products that meet specifications and our responsibility to our customers.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
Other duties as necessitated by the business.
