General labor is responsible for safely handling lumber products. Verifies material meets customer requirements and company expectations. Principle Duties and Responsibilities include moving and securing lumber products and other materials according to instructions, stacking finished products according to predetermined bundle sizes and/or customer requirements, labeling material based on specifications (type, size, and count), applying individual tags to material before/after treating/production, using a staple gun and troubleshooting equipment, banding, bundling and securing material (including attaching corner protectors and loading sticks), following instructions for stacking material properly and according to company policy and customer requirements, ensuring correct quantities and material are strapped and labeled before leaving the work area, maintaining accurate inventory of tags and reporting any problems or discrepancies to supervisor, recording production on production sheets, maintaining a clean and organized work area, assisting with other work areas by moving material, loading and unloading material carts, participating in safety, CI and other programs and meetings, and performing other duties as required.
