RH is seeking a Cutting Associate to join our Dmitriy & Co manufacturing location in Downey, CA. This role requires exceptional fabric cutting technical expertise and a true passion for craftsmanship. The Cutting Associate will play a key part in bringing to life upholstery pieces that embody uncompromising standards of quality and design. Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in furniture production, cutting, or a related field
• Proficiency in cutting upholstery fabrics and material components
• Proven experience in balancing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment with limited supervision
• Strong time management and communication skills, with a collaborative and service-oriented approach
• Commitment to quality, safety, and meticulous attention to detail
• Maintain consistent attendance and punctuality

Responsibilities

• Accurately review and follow purchase orders, providing timely progress updates to ensuring workflow efficiency
• Inspect and map fabrics before cutting to identify defects, optimize layout, and maximize yield
• Measure, mark, and cut upholstery material components as required with precision, including on matchinging pattern, strips, and repeats, ensuring each piece reflects our commitment to exceptional quality
• Expertly utilize hand tools and equipment, including fabric cutting machines, scissors, razor blades, and measuring devices, to mark and cut fabric components for upholstery pieces with precision
• Accurately label fabric materials to ensure proper identification and workflow accuracy.
• Safely handle fabric and completed assembled components, utilizing assistance when appropriate to maintain both safety and craftsmanship integrity
• Contribute to specialty projects, and other tasks as needed
