About The Position

Spring Glen Fresh Foods in Ephrata, PA is now seeking 1st shift General Laborers. We are offering great benefits, stable work shifts, and a clean/ welcoming work environment. Work where you matter! General laborers are responsible for performing production, sanitation, and other general duties as assigned in accordance with established safety and quality standards. Stacks boxes of finished products onto pallets and applies shrink wrap for safe storage and transport. Inspects finished products to ensure proper labeling, quality standards, and compliance with company specifications. Packs finished products into boxes or totes; inspects pallets, boxes, and totes for defects; places poly liners in totes; verifies product weights; and prepares items for storage, including stacking and shrink wrapping. Learns and supports the setup and line flow of various products within the Production Department. Cleans and sanitizes machinery and equipment as required. Maintains clean, organized, and safe work areas in accordance with good housekeeping practices. Completes required checks, documentation, and production paperwork accurately and legibly throughout the shift. Follows all food safety, legality, and quality policies and procedures, including but not limited to GMPs, HACCP, food safety, product quality, food security, and plant security requirements. Adheres to all safety procedures and uses appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) as required. Immediately reports any safety concerns, hazards, or incidents to the Production Supervisor and/or Lead. Maintains plant hygiene standards to ensure the highest level of product integrity. Performs other duties as assigned by the Production Supervisor and/or Lead. While the duties above generally describe the job content, not all duties are performed continually or regularly (i.e., daily, weekly, etc.). Duties performed are dependent upon the operation being supported. Requirements

  • The position requires ability to read, write and understand the English language, and have basic math skills in order to satisfactorily complete job requirements.
