About The Position

The General Laborer is responsible for miscellaneous job duties that aid in the efficient operation of production.

Requirements

• Safety sensitive position – ability to work in a constant state of alertness and a safe manner
• Ability to work overtime and weekends as required based upon the needs of the business
• Ability to work on a rotating shift as needed
• Ability to effectively work in teams
• Ability to work in a production-based environment with moving equipment and people
• Ability to interact and communicate effectively with a wide variety of roles
• Ability to perform all computer functions as they pertain to the job
• Basic math and reading skills

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate commitment to safety and perform job duties in accordance with company safety policies and procedures
• Demonstrate commitment to quality and perform job duties in adherence to GMP guidelines
• Understand production work orders, load tags, palletizing instructions, time sheets and all other relevant documents
• Understand computer system and input of data
• Perform quality checks on products (board grade, flutes, single face/double face sides and overall board quality) and identify defects
• Maintain production efficiencies and standards
• Perform miscellaneous job functions in an accurate and efficient manner, such as: Packing Palletizing Bundling Stacking Sorting Load Tags
• Assist the Operators in efficient operation of the machine centers
• Play an active role in the maintenance and cleanliness of assigned equipment and surrounding work area
• Understand department communication systems, schedules, time/attendance system and job reporting requirements
• Perform other duties as assigned by management/supervisors
