Looking for 1st and 2nd shift personnel responsible for tending to a pre-set production line by seaming the edges of pieces of glass along a seaming belt, breaking out glass, loading pieces of glass onto a line, inspecting parts, and packing pieces of glass into boxes. Must be able to perform all tasks in safe and responsible manner.
Requirements
- Three (3) months of related experience and/or training
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions
- Ability to write basic communication and understand on-the-job work standards
- Ability to effectively present information in a one-on-one and/or small group setting.
- Ability to apply common sense to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
- Must be able to stand and/or walk for 8+ hours
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear, repetitive.
- The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, and/or stoop
- The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 35 pounds
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
- Requires manual dexterity to handle glass parts, hand tools and knives.
- Tasks require lifting, standing, bending, reaching, climbing, pulling, pushing, visually observing plastic parts.
Responsibilities
- Must be able to handle different sizes of glass parts
- Must be able to seam parts of glass along a seaming belt
- Maintain cycle time on a pre-set production line
- Visually inspect and/or measure parts as necessary
- Report final production output along with defects
- Must be able to load and remove glass parts from the production line
- Must be able to work with water
- Pack finished goods into boxes
- Must be able to stand and/or walk for 8+ hours
- Must be able to report to work as scheduled and on time
- Other duties as assigned
