About The Position

Role and Activity Straining Fruit and flavoring tanks Obtain forklift certification. Strain rework Tag rework Wash and Sanitize pails. Dry blending, CIP, Foaming Master Sanitation Schedule Act with a sense of urgency to accomplish goals and tasks. Know and understand department metrics of quality, reliability and safety. You are responsible for your performance, efficiencies, waste, quality, safety, results. Conduct shift hand off meeting Follow, monitor and understand all GMP/HACCP/QMS and product safety regulations. Keep waste to a minimum. Badge in and out on time. Be at your work area as scheduled and on time to pre and post shift meetings. Always stay focused! Make timely decisions. Find root cause and solution to problems. Strong knowledge of CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) and project management tools. Understanding of HVAC, refrigeration, electrical, and mechanical systems used in ice cream production. Ability to manage multiple projects while ensuring day-to-day operations run smoothly. Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills. Work Environment: In this position, the employee will regularly work with and around others; in a wet and/or humid environment; in areas of high noise level; and around mechanical, electrical, and pressurized equipment. The work is fast paced. The position involves frequent exposure to nuts and other potential allergens. The pay scale for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. At Dreyer’s Grand Ice Cream, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree or technical diploma in Engineering, Maintenance Management, or a related field (preferred).
