About The Position
Basalite Building Products, LLC is one of the largest manufacturers of concrete masonry products in the Western United States. Product lines include structural block, interlocking paving stones, engineered wall systems, retaining walls, ornamental and garden products, and a full range of sack goods. Starting at $20.00 - $21.50 per hour – Open Shift Availability Required POSITION SUMMARY: Under the supervision of the Paver/Block Superintendent, this position supports both departments and in all areas of production; and is responsible for supporting and demonstrating the Core Values of Integrity, Safety, Respect, Customer Focus, Quality, Innovation and Financial Success. Performs other related duties as assigned. SUPERVISION RECEIVED: General ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Requirements
- Requires a high school education or the equivalent.
- On-the-job training experience is required to be able to perform duties.
- Require basic reading, writing and mathematical skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions
- Ability to communicate verbally and in writing
- Ability to act professionally and remain calm in high stress situations
- Ability to operate block machine, cuber, loader, unloader, crawler and any other equipment required to perform duties.
- Predictable, and Regular attendance is required.
Nice To Haves
- Manufacturing production machinery experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Observes machine while running.
- Watches cubing line for proper functioning.
- Checks loader and unloader and the block transporter (crawler).
- Operates batching system for quality products.
- Attends safety meetings and abides by all safety rules set forth by company and governmental regulatory agencies; ensures that hazardous conditions are reported and corrected.
- Follow company rules.
- Predictable, and Regular attendance is required.
