Role Overview: The General Food Service Worker performs a wide range of duties involved with preparing and/or serving food and beverages in one or more of a variety of food service environments. May assist in set up and service; and collection of garbage/trash; as appropriate to the area of operation. May serve food to customers and/or perform cashier duties, as appropriate.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Minimum of 1 year of Culinary/ Hospitality Experience
Responsibilities
- Hospitality Support: Interacts with guests and customers at events with professionalism, service, and grace, upholding CDS and the client/account's customer service expectations.
- Kitchen Support: Sets up food service, kitchen, or salad area facilities,equipmentand utensils, under detailed instruction,in accordance withspecific area needs; checks food temperatures and/or prepares areas for daily operations; mayoperatecooking or bakery equipment as assigned.
- Maintain Cleanliness: May clean and maintain work areas, including floors, facilities, dishes, utensils, and equipment; collects and places garbage and trash in designated containers; as appropriate to the area of operation.Washes dishes, pans, and other service ware to ensure sanitary handling; organizes and replaces service ware to appropriate locations.
