The General Clerk provides administrative support including answering phones, preparing and filing documents, performing data entry, managing correspondence, and supporting general office operations.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • 6 months to 1 year of clerical, administrative, or office support experience
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to communicate professionally with internal and external stakeholders
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Word and Excel. PowerPoint experience is a plus
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to pass background check required

Responsibilities

  • Answer and direct incoming telephone calls in a courteous and professional manner
  • Take accurate messages and route calls appropriately
  • Schedule and coordinate appointments as needed
  • Prepare, type, and format memos, correspondence, reports, and other documents
  • Perform data entry and maintain electronic and physical filing systems
  • Prepare and process outgoing mail, including addressing, stuffing, sorting, and distribution
  • Proofread records and forms to ensure completeness and accuracy
  • Maintain, organize, and safeguard records in accordance with company and contract requirements
  • Operate standard office equipment including photocopiers, multi line phone systems, and scanners
  • Support document retention and proper disposal of records as directed
  • Self check work to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and completeness
  • Effectively manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast paced office environment
  • Perform other duties as assigned by leadership to support operational needs
