About The Position

The General Clerk II is also known as the Production Control Clerk (PC). The Clerk III provides administrative support to the LRC Material Maintenance Division Operations at Dugway Proving Ground and provide general administration support to the production, planning, and control system for all levels of maintenance.

Requirements

  • High School graduate or equivalent.
  • Must have three (3) plus years’ experience in clerical duties and administrative support functions.
  • Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English.
  • Must have strong organizational skills.
  • Must possess multi-tasking and time management skills.
  • Must have computer literacy skills in Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and ability to follow directions.
  • Ability to work in fast paced and compliance driven environment.
  • Working knowledge of military supply systems (TAMMS).
  • Experience with SAMS-1E or similar military maintenance program (3 years’ experience preferred).
  • Possess a Valid Drivers’ License without special restrictions.
  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must undergo a background check.
  • Must be able to obtain a Common Access Card (CAC) and work the assigned shift hours.

  • Experience with SAMS-1E or similar military maintenance program (3 years’ experience preferred).

Responsibilities

  • Provide general administration support to the production, planning and control (PPC) system for all levels of maintenance.
  • Utilize Logistics Information Systems to plan, schedule, control, and process all maintenance requests for repair or service.
  • Verify that all information received is accurate and complete and communicate any discrepancies or questionable information found with the customer.
  • Prepare documents used for scheduling workload and resources to ensure priorities and schedules are met.
  • Annotate all data and information into GCSS-Army to create the associated work orders.
  • Provide data conversion, document control, inventory adjustments and perform analysis in support of the LIS used.
  • Prepare and send reports as required. Prepare and submit properly authenticated work orders.
  • Ensure that all technical statuses and fault codes are accurately captured in GCSS-Army based off of the equipment’s current conditional status.
  • All documents used for scheduling workload and resources will be prepared and organized to ensure that the priorities and schedules are met.
  • Disseminated work awaiting shop if not disseminated by Maintenance Lead.
  • Ensure that work orders are placed in the proper Status Code when creating, issuing, receiving, and closing work orders.
  • Assign work order priorities based on customer established designators indicated by the LRC Maintenance Lead.
  • All time charged against open work orders are presented to the PC and input into GCSS-A within the allowable time frame.
  • Close work orders on a timely basis when services or repairs are completed.
  • Document all work performed and maintain records on all WO related documents and maintain completed work order files.
  • Maintain communication with all customers on equipment statuses, and ensure customers are notified that equipment is complete and ready for pick up within the time frame established by the LRC.
  • Maintain communication with outside vendors used for repair of equipment.
  • Maintain DA Form 1687.
  • Maintain department calibration program.
  • Perform other relevant duties as assigned.
