About the position

This position is responsible for processing specific accounting transactions and controlling input into the State accounting system (Cardinal) and the University's accounting system (SCT Banner) as well as reconciling transactions in both systems monthly.

Responsibilities

  • Process financial transactions in accordance with State and University policies and procedures.
  • Control input into the State accounting system (Cardinal) and the University's accounting system (SCT Banner).
  • Reconcile transactions in both systems monthly.

Requirements

  • High school graduate or equivalent education/experience that equates to a high school diploma.
  • Previous accounting experience.
  • Previous work experience in an office environment researching, collecting, and analyzing complex financial data and processing correcting entries.
  • Experience using word processing and spreadsheet software.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in accounting or related field.
  • Experience working with financial statements.
  • Experience working in general accounting.
  • Supervisory experience.
  • Experience with Banner.
  • Experience with Cardinal.
  • Experience using Excel and Word.
