General Accountant The General Accountant reports to the Chief Financial Officer and handles the management and reporting of financial data. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the day-to-day accounting functions, accruals, financial statement preparation and performing general account function, as required. The essential functions outlined below are just a few of the keys to a successful role: Full cycle Accounts Receivable, including preparation of monthly invoices and maintaining customer and vendor records Accounts Payable including purchase orders, work orders, and vendor records maintenance Multiple bank reconciliations for depository accounts Reconcile all balance sheet accounts; review for input accuracy and prepare monthly reports and journal entries, as needed General Ledger maintenance Administration of quarterly business taxes Prepare monthly financial statements Maintain required business documents Prepare annual 1099’s Aid with the annual budget and financial forecasting through audit process. Maintain financial document files New vendor set-up and maintenance Vendor statement reconciliation and discrepancies Deposit and Cash Reports Prepare and/or review of all expense reports for accuracy and proper expense disclosure
