About The Position

Gelcoat is a liquid that hardens to form a thick layer of protective fiberglass and gives a shiny, smooth finish. This position applies gel coat to production hull and deck molds by using hand operated spray equipment.

Requirements

• Must follow all safety standards and procedures
• Positive attitude, high dependability, and promotion of good morale
• Must adhere to all quality standards and adhere to new standards as processes evolve
• Pass a pulmonary function test and abide by a respiratory protection program to wear a respirator

Responsibilities

• Operates spray gun to apply various coats of gel coat to molds according to production schedule, ensuring color, finish and thickness are adhered to
• Pulls tape on deck or hull molds.
• Maintains and cleans test gel coating equipment to ensure it operates as required.
• Maintains a clean and environmentally safe work area.
• Continued awareness and protective actions regarding all health, safety, and chemical protocols and processes
• ALL OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED
