GCI Sales Representative Knowledge and Skill Requirements Familiarity of GCI products (excavators, dozers, loaders, motor graders, articulated trucks). Ability to explain and sell CVAs, financing options, and fuel-saving programs. Proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite. Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. Education Requirements High school diploma or GED required. Bachelor’s degree in business, sales, or related field preferred. Essential Job Functions Promote and sell Caterpillar GCI machines, solutions, and CVAs. Develop and maintain a strong pipeline of opportunities. Conduct product demonstrations and presentations. Prepare accurate quotes and proposals for equipment and bundled solutions. Act as a trusted advisor by understanding customer needs and recommending tailored solutions. Document all customer interactions and provide regular sales reports. Leadership Responsibilities Serve as a subject matter expert on GCI products and solutions within the assigned territory. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth delivery, training, and support. Influence customer decision-making through consultative selling strategies. Physical and Mental Requirements Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions. Must wear PPE when required. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally. Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills under pressure. Work Environment Primarily field-based with regular travel within assigned territory. Frequent visits to construction sites and customer locations. Occasional office work for reporting and administrative tasks.
